Samantha Ettus has heard from tens of thousands of women. They call her radio show. They contact her after having seen her on The Today Show and other media outlets. And they follow her out of the room after her speeches.

Most often, they approach her with the same challenges and problems; they are struggling to re-enter the workforce after time off; they want to leave their corporate positions for more flexibility while still earning solid money; they want to do something lucrative that allows them to set their own schedules.

These women are smart, educated and driven. But Sam realized that they had no viable options; they were either applying to companies that wouldn’t seriously consider them or they were selling jewelry or makeup to their friends in the hopes of generating real income.

All Sam could offer was advice and inspiration…Until now.

Park Place was born.

Samantha Ettus

Founder and CEO

As a dedicated champion of women, Sam has devoted her career to advocating and supporting women in the pursuit of their dreams. Thousands of women from C-level leaders to administrative assistants to moms returning to the workforce have benefitted from Sam’s unique guidance. In Sam’s quest to help women achieve financial independence, she launched Park Place.

Since earning her undergraduate and MBA degrees from Harvard, Sam has become a best-selling author of five books,  a renowned speaker and host of a nationally syndicated call-in radio show. Sam’s most recent book is The Pie Life: A Guilt Free Recipe for Success and Satisfaction. She writes a popular weekly work/life newsletter and penned a Washington Post Op-Ed that landed in the top 10 Op-eds in 2017.

Sam makes regular national television appearances on shows including NBC News, The Doctors, Access Hollywood, Good Morning America and the TODAY Show, among others. She has been featured and quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Inc, Fast Company and Success Magazine. She was the host of leading Internet talk show Obsessed TV, which she created and produced with entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk.

Sam is active in causes relating to women and girls and is Co-Founder of the Los Angeles Women’s Collective, aimed at supporting women to run for office and win. She serves on the advisory board of the Forbes School of Business and Technology. Sam lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.

Yesenia Monroy

VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES OPERATIONS & CLIENT SUCCESS

Yesenia’s vast payments experience includes leadership positions at multiple Fintech companies including Intuit Payments Solutions, Total Merchant Services and most recently, North American Bancard. At NAB, Yesenia oversaw revenue growth, sales support and the sales partner experience. She is passionate about helping business owners find the right payments solutions for their specific needs.

Yesenia is CIAC certified, the industry standard for professional excellence in contact center leadership and management. Her commitment to the payments industry motivated her to become a certified payments professional accredited by Electronic Transaction Association.Yesenia is also a member of Women in Payments (Wnet) Southern California Chapter.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Northridge and received her Six Sigma green belt from Villanova University. A native of Los Angeles, she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew.

Nancy Decker Lent

FOUNDING MEMBER AND VICE PRESIDENT OF ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE SUCCESS

Nancy helped establish Park Place and has played many roles since inception. In her current role, Nancy trains, motivates and supports Account Executives. She helps manage the deal lifecycle ranging from pricing assessments, product solutions analysis, client boarding, activation and launch. Nancy works closely with 3rd party partners to ensure seamless technical integration and business operations. Nancy also coordinates support escalations, commission compensation, compliance, legal administration and contracts.

Nancy has over 15 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Law. She received her BA from Notre Dame College and her JD from Massachusetts School of Law. She serves on the Board of Directors for Interfaith of The Woodlands and is Chair of the Development Committee and Secretary of the Executive Committee.

Nancy is an avid endurance athlete and has completed 11 marathons, including the Boston Marathon, the New York City marathon, and the original marathon course in Athens Greece. In 2015 Nancy conquered a full Ironman race.

Nancy lives in The Woodlands, Texas with her husband, two sons, and two rescue pets.

Selina Meere

VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Selina has spent more than 20 years as a champion for the products, people and companies she represents. At Park Place, Selina is growing the team of Account Executives while building out partnerships and marketing initiatives. She has led marketing, public relations, business development and strategic direction for a range of brands, authors, books and companies.

Before joining the Park Place team, Selina was an executive in New York’s book publishing industry, holding executive positions at Workman Publishing and Penguin Random House. She holds a Masters Degree from City University in London and a Bachelors Degree from Gettysburg College.

An active home cook, she never misses a trip to the farmers market each weekend, a routine second only to hitting the beach with her family for a run along the water followed by a sun soaked afternoon. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, and two daughters.

Narce Cardenas

MANAGER, CLIENT SUCCESS

Narce has 20 years of payments industry experience, leading customer support and technical teams to provide extraordinary merchant care. She has experience working with customers, partners and account executives.

Most recently, Narce was manager of merchant and technical support at North American Bancard. She began her career at Superior Bancard and has worked at Intuit, Innovate Merchant Solutions and Total Merchant Services(TMS). She joined North American Bancard after their acquisition of TMS.

Narce is ETA CPP certified. She lives in West Hills, California with her family.
